Entry-Level Mason


We are hiring an Entry-Level Mason to join our growing team in Almada! As a Mason, you will be responsible for building and repairing structures made of brick, stone, concrete, and other materials. This is a physically demanding job that requires attention to detail and the ability to work in various weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lay out and plan construction projects according to blueprints or instructions from supervisors
- Cut or break bricks, stones, or blocks to the desired size using hand or power tools
- Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto the designated surfaces using trowels
- Set bricks or stones in place using mortar as a bonding agent and fill gaps between them with grout or caulking
- Smooth out excess mortar with trowels and other hand tools
- Install fireplaces, chimneys, walkways, retaining walls, and other structures according to specifications
- Repair existing masonry structures by replacing damaged bricks or stones and applying new mortar

Requirements:
- No prior experience required; on-the-job training will be provided
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials (up to 50 pounds)
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to work at heights on scaffolding or ladders as needed
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and equipment preferred
- Team player with excellent communication skills
