Android Developer
Location: Alta, Norway


We are seeking a skilled Android Developer to join our dynamic team in Alta, Norway. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative mobile applications for the Android platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Java and Android development, as well as experience with third-party libraries and APIs. You should also have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This position offers a competitive salary of 1000$ per month, along with accommodation and assistance with obtaining a work visa and travel arrangements.

Responsibilities:
- Design and develop high-quality mobile applications for the Android platform
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
- Ensure code quality by conducting thorough testing and debugging
- Utilize third-party libraries and APIs to enhance app functionality
- Continuously research new technologies and techniques to improve app performance
- Maintain code integrity and organization through proper documentation
- Work closely with product managers to understand project requirements and provide accurate time estimations

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in Android development
- Proficient in Java, Kotlin, or other object-oriented programming languages
- Strong understanding of mobile app design principles and guidelines
- Experience working with third-party libraries such as Retrofit, Dagger, RxJava
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON parsing, and Google Play Services
- Ability to write clean, maintainable code with proper documentation
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Preferences:
While not required, the following qualifications would be considered an asset:
- Familiarity with Agile development methodology
- Experience working with Firebase or other backend services
- Knowledge of UI/UX design principles
- Experience with version control systems such as Git
