We are currently seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Vianden, Luxembourg. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the security, availability, and performance of our company's databases. You will also play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our database systems to meet the needs of our growing business.

Responsibilities:
- Install and configure database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues
- Develop backup and recovery plans to ensure data protection
- Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive data
- Collaborate with other teams to design and implement new databases
- Perform regular maintenance tasks such as updates and patches
- Train users on how to efficiently use database systems
- Keep abreast of new technologies and industry trends related to database administration

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in database administration
- Strong knowledge of SQL databases such as MySQL or Oracle
- Proficient in scripting languages such as SQL, Python, or Perl
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems
- Experience with database security, backup, and recovery procedures
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Good communication skills in English and French (German is a plus)
