Database Administrator (Contract, with accommodation) - Vianden, Canada


We are currently seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Vianden, Canada. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases, ensuring data security and integrity, and providing technical support to our users. This is a contract position that comes with accommodation provided.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Develop backup and recovery plans to ensure data is protected at all times
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement database solutions for new projects
- Perform regular audits of databases to identify potential issues or areas for improvement
- Provide technical support and assistance to users in accessing and utilizing the databases effectively

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with database design, development and optimization
- Familiarity with database security best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred:
- Canadian nationality or ability to work in Canada without sponsorship
- Experience working in a contract role
- Fluent English communication skills

Salary: 1000$ per month (with accommodation)
