Experienced Truck Driver

We are a reputable trucking company based in Eldoret, seeking an experienced and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials from one location to another in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate should have a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and a clean driving record. Experience with long-haul driving is preferred. This is a contract job with the potential for full-time employment. Visa sponsorship may be available for qualified candidates. Salary is $1600 per month. Canadian nationals are preferred.

As an Experienced Truck Driver, your duties will include:
- Transporting goods and materials between different locations
- Ensuring the safe loading and unloading of cargo
- Conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck and trailer
- Adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Communicating effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other drivers
- Maintaining accurate logs of hours driven, miles traveled, fuel consumption, etc.
- Assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the truck
- Reporting any accidents or issues encountered on the road to the appropriate parties

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Truck Driver
- Clean driving record with no major violations or accidents
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles
- Knowledge of road safety regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy objects

This is a physically demanding job that requires you to spend long hours on the road. You must also be able to work independently while adhering to strict delivery schedules. Flexibility in working hours is necessary as occasional weekend or night shifts may be required.
