Junior Android Developer

We are hiring a Junior Android Developer to join our dynamic team in Utena. As an Android Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the Android platform, excellent coding skills in Java or Kotlin, and a passion for creating user-friendly and efficient mobile apps. This is a contract position suitable for both Pakistani and Canadian candidates with no prior experience required. Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience)

Location: Utena, Lithuania

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain mobile applications
- Write clean and efficient code while adhering to industry standards
- Troubleshoot and debug issues with existing applications
- Stay updated on advancements in the Android platform and implement new features as needed
- Continuously optimize application performance for maximum speed and scalability
- Ensure timely delivery of projects within budget constraints
- Work closely with project managers to understand client requirements and provide technical solutions

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or currently pursuing)
- Strong understanding of the Android platform and its components
- Proficient in Java or Kotlin programming languages
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON data format
- Experience working with development tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, etc.
- Knowledge of software design principles including SOLID and MVVM/MVP architecture patterns
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience developing Android applications (personal projects or internships)
- Experience with third-party libraries and APIs
- Knowledge of Agile development methodologies
- Familiarity with UI/UX design principles
- Strong portfolio showcasing your Android development skills
