English-Speaking Librarian
Location: Muscat, Oman



We are hiring an English-speaking librarian to join our team in Muscat, Oman. As a librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library and its resources, as well as providing assistance to library patrons.

Requirements:
- Proficient in English (both written and spoken)
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Experience working in a library setting preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work full-time and on weekends if needed

Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the library, including cataloging, shelving, and maintaining inventory
- Provide reference assistance to library patrons and assist with research inquiries
- Promote library resources and services through social media and other platforms
- Plan and organize events and programs for the community, such as book clubs or author talks
- Develop collection policies and make recommendations for new materials to be added to the library's collection
- Train volunteers or other staff members on library procedures and policies
- Keep up-to-date with emerging technology trends in libraries to improve efficiency and user experience

This is a full-time position with a salary of 1100$ per month. We welcome applicants from all nationalities with fluency in English. As this is an urgent job opening, we are looking for candidates who can start immediately. Previous experience is not required but will be considered a plus.
