Junior Librarian


We are hiring a Junior Librarian to join our library team in Muscat. As a Junior Librarian, you will be responsible for assisting with the daily operations of the library and providing support to the senior librarians. This is an entry-level position, suitable for freshers or those with limited experience in the field.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with cataloguing and organizing library materials
- Help patrons with locating materials and using library resources
- Assist with circulation duties, including checking in and out materials
- Maintain a neat and organized library space
- Provide basic reference services to patrons
- Participate in collection development activities, such as selecting new materials for the library
- Help plan and implement library programs and events

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field (preferred)
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Familiarity with Dewey Decimal System and other library classification systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Friendly demeanor and excellent customer service skills

Salary: 1500$ per month, based on qualifications and experience.

Location: Muscat, Oman
