Urgent Librarian in Porto, Portugal

We are in need of a dedicated and knowledgeable Librarian to join our team in Porto. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing our library's resources, organizing materials, and assisting patrons with research and reference needs. You should have a strong understanding of library systems and procedures, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the acquisition, cataloging, and circulation of library materials
- Develop and maintain organized collections to meet the needs of patrons
- Assist patrons with research inquiries and provide reference services
- Plan and implement educational programs, workshops, and events for library users
- Train library staff on new technologies and resources
- Maintain accurate records of library transactions and statistics
- Collaborate with other departments to promote the library's services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience working in a library setting
- Knowledge of cataloging systems (e.g. MARC), database management, and information retrieval
- Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese is a plus)
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
