Surveyor Assistant


We are seeking a detail-oriented and hardworking Surveyor Assistant to join our team in Salalah, Oman. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working outdoors and a strong interest in surveying and land measurement. As a Surveyor Assistant, you will work closely with the lead surveyor to assist in collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, and maintaining equipment.

Responsibilities:
- Assisting the lead surveyor in conducting field surveys to collect data on land boundaries, topography, and other features
- Setting up and operating surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and levels
- Recording measurements and data accurately using traditional methods or computer software
- Conducting research to locate property boundaries, easements, and other relevant information
- Preparing reports on survey findings for clients or project managers
- Maintaining surveying equipment by cleaning, calibrating, and storing it properly
- Assisting with the maintenance of field notes and records
- Collaborating with team members to ensure accurate data collection and analysis
- Adhering to safety standards at all times while working on job sites

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in surveying is preferred
- Prior experience working as a surveyor assistant is an asset but not required
- Familiarity with surveying techniques, equipment, and terminology is preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods of time
- Physically fit with the ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately record data
- Basic computer skills for data entry and report preparation
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
