Shaper at a High-End Fashion Boutique in Nairobi

We are seeking a talented and experienced Shaper to join our high-end fashion boutique in the vibrant city of Nairobi. As a Shaper, you will play a crucial role in crafting and shaping garments to perfection for our discerning clientele. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and passion for fashion will be instrumental in creating unique and flawless pieces that embody our brand's luxury and sophistication.

Responsibilities:
- Work closely with our designers to understand their vision for each garment
- Use various shaping techniques such as draping, pinning, and tailoring to achieve the desired fit and silhouette
- Ensure that all garments meet our quality standards and are free from any imperfections
- Collaborate with the sewing team to finalize patterns and make necessary alterations
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and equipment
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Shaper or similar role in the fashion industry
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and shaping techniques
- Proficient in using tools such as dress forms, pins, needles, scissors, etc.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Basic understanding of sewing techniques is preferred but not required
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills and ability to take direction from designers

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of $1000 per month for this full-time position. Additional benefits will also be provided.

Our boutique is located in the bustling city of Nairobi, known for its vibrant culture, diverse cuisine, and scenic landscapes. This position is open to both Kenyan nationals as well as foreigners who are fluent in English.
