Our manufacturing company in Nairobi, Kenya is seeking a skilled Shaper to join our team. As a Shaper, you will be responsible for shaping and forming materials into specific shapes and sizes using specialized tools and equipment. This role requires knowledge of various shaping techniques and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. This is a contract position with accommodation provided and is open to both men and women. Salary is $1500 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Shape and form materials according to technical drawings
- Operate shaping equipment such as lathes, mills, drills, saws, etc.
- Identify any defects or imperfections in materials
- Measure and inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Follow safety procedures at all times
- Collaborate with team members on projects

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Shaper in a manufacturing setting
- Knowledge of shaping techniques such as cutting, drilling, milling, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Preferred:
- Technical certification in machining or similar field
- Experience with CNC machining equipment
- Familiarity with different types of materials (metal, wood, plastic)

Working Conditions:
This is a contract position with accommodation provided by the company. The working hours are Monday-Friday from 8am - 5pm with occasional overtime required. The work environment can be noisy and dusty at times.
