Finisher - Woodworking and Furniture Assembly Specialist


We are seeking a skilled Finisher to join our woodworking and furniture assembly team in Ashdod, Israel. As a Finisher, you will be responsible for the final touches on our high-quality wooden furniture pieces, ensuring that they are smooth, polished, and free of any imperfections.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces for finishing by sanding, filling, and repairing any defects
- Apply stains, sealants, and topcoats to achieve desired finish
- Use various tools and techniques to create unique finishes such as distressing or antiquing
- Inspect finished pieces to ensure quality standards are met
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Communicate with team members to coordinate finishing process with assembly schedule
- Follow safety procedures at all times

Requirements:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Finisher in the woodworking or furniture industry
- Knowledge of different types of wood and their reactions to different finishes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Detail-oriented with an eye for perfection
- Familiarity with various tools and equipment used in finishing process
- Must have a valid biometric passport or be willing to obtain one for international travel when necessary

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with high-end or custom furniture pieces
- Experience in distressing techniques such as hand scraping or wire brushing
- Experience working with environmentally friendly finishes

This is a contract position with potential for long-term employment. We welcome applications from individuals without prior experience who have a strong interest in woodworking.
