Job Title: Junior Accountant


We are a reputable accounting firm located in the beautiful city of Lisbon, seeking a Junior Accountant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for numbers. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, and assisting with budgeting and forecasting. A valid biometric passport is required for this role.

As a Junior Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

- Preparing financial statements and reports
- Reconciling accounts and identifying discrepancies
- Assisting with budgeting and forecasting
- Maintaining accurate records of financial transactions
- Assisting with audits and tax filings
- Collaborating with other team members on projects as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks)
- Good understanding of basic accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Biometric passport (or ability to obtain one) is required

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an accounting role (internship or entry-level position)
- Knowledge of Portuguese accounting laws and regulations
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus)
