We are seeking a skilled Turner to join our team in Bungoma. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining lathes and other machinery used for shaping metal, wood, and other materials. Your main duty will be to create precise and accurate parts according to specifications. This role requires excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to read technical drawings. Previous experience as a Turner is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate lathes and other machines to shape metal, wood, and other materials
- Read technical drawings and blueprints to determine dimensions and tolerances
- Use precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy of parts
- Adjust machine settings as needed for different materials or specifications
- Inspect finished parts for quality control purposes
- Maintain and troubleshoot machinery as needed
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification is a plus
- Previous experience as a Turner or in a similar role preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude with good manual dexterity
- Ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring tools
- Good math skills for calculating dimensions and tolerances
- Understanding of different types of materials used in turning processes
- Familiarity with safety protocols in a workshop setting

This is a contract position with a salary of $1100 per month. Accommodation is not provided, but we can assist with finding suitable housing. Visa sponsorship is available for non-native English speakers. We welcome candidates of all genders.
