Contract Cad Draftsman (English Speaking) - Nakuru, Kenya


A reputable engineering firm in Nakuru, Kenya is seeking a skilled and experienced Contract Cad Draftsman to join our team. This is a contract position with the opportunity for extension based on performance.

As a Contract Cad Draftsman, you will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. You will work closely with engineers and other professionals to convert concepts into accurate and precise drawings.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. You must also have excellent knowledge of CAD software and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

This position requires a high level of attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines. The successful candidate must also have their own valid visa for working in Kenya.

Key Responsibilities:
- Convert engineer's sketches or specifications into detailed technical drawings using CAD software
- Collaborate with engineers and other professionals to ensure accuracy of drawings
- Review designs for errors or discrepancies
- Make necessary revisions to drawings based on feedback
- Create 2D and 3D models as needed
- Maintain organized records of all drawings
- Keep up-to-date with industry standards and best practices for CAD drafting

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or relevant certification in drafting, engineering or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Cad Draftsman or similar role
- Proficient in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar programs
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical drawings
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines
- Valid visa for working in Kenya
