Part-Time Turner
We are in need of a skilled and experienced Turner to join our team on a part-time basis in Svalbard. As a Turner, you will be responsible for operating machinery and tools to shape and cut metal pieces to specific dimensions and angles. Your main duties will include interpreting blueprints, setting up and operating machines, measuring and inspecting finished products, and maintaining equipment.

Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as a Turner
- Proficient in reading blueprints and using measuring tools
- Knowledge of different types of metal and their properties
- Ability to operate machinery with precision and attention to detail
- Strong understanding of safety procedures when working with heavy equipment
- Must have a biometric passport for international travel

Responsibilities:
- Study blueprints or job orders to determine specifications for the finished product
- Set up machines according to instructions provided by the manufacturer or supervisor
- Operate machinery such as lathes, drills, grinders, and saws to shape metal pieces to required dimensions
- Use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy of finished products
- Inspect finished products for defects or imperfections before final approval for use or shipment
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure proper functioning
- Adhere to safety protocols at all times while operating heavy equipment
- Communicate with supervisor about any issues or concerns regarding production processes

Working hours:
This is a part-time position with flexible working hours. The exact schedule will be discussed during the interview process.

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1800 per month.

Location:
This position is based in Svalbard but may require occasional international travel. Candidates must have a valid biometric passport for this reason.
