Interpreter (Almada, Portugal)



We are seeking an experienced Interpreter to join our team in Almada. As an Interpreter, you will be responsible for facilitating communication between individuals who speak different languages. You will work in a variety of settings such as conferences, business meetings, and legal proceedings.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting accurate and complete interpretation between two or more languages in real-time
- Providing cultural and linguistic support to ensure effective communication
- Maintaining confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Adhering to the professional code of conduct and ethical standards
- Preparing for assignments by researching terminology and familiarizing yourself with the subject matter
- Managing time effectively to ensure all parties have equal opportunity to communicate
- Collaborating with other interpreters when necessary

Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Interpreter, preferably in a professional setting
- Fluency in at least two languages, including English and Portuguese (Portuguese native speaker preferred)
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Strong knowledge of cultural differences and ability to adapt to diverse situations
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and maintain professionalism at all times
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time position with a salary of $900 per month. The working hours may vary depending on assignments, but you can expect a minimum of 40 hours per week. This role does not include accommodation, so we prefer candidates who are already based in Almada or are willing to relocate.
