Preservation Architect


As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for identifying, documenting and preserving historical buildings and structures in Balzers. You will work closely with local authorities and community stakeholders to ensure the cultural heritage of the city is maintained for future generations. This is a full-time position requiring experience in architectural conservation and a passion for preserving historical landmarks.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting site visits to assess the condition of historical buildings and structures
- Preparing detailed reports on preservation needs, including structural integrity, materials, and potential restoration methods
- Developing preservation plans in collaboration with local authorities and community stakeholders
- Overseeing restoration projects to ensure adherence to preservation standards and guidelines
- Researching and sourcing suitable materials for restoration projects
- Providing expert advice on preservation techniques and best practices to clients, contractors, and other stakeholders

Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum of 3 years experience in architectural conservation or preservation architecture
- Knowledge of local building codes, conservation laws, and regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough research on historical buildings
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Fluency in English (German language skills are preferred)
- Valid work permit for Balzers (visa sponsorship may be provided)
