Database Administrator (Entry Level)


We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Entry Level Database Administrator. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for data management and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases, ensuring that they are secure, efficient, and reliable.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of database software
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that arise
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery procedures
- Create and modify database structures according to business needs
- Develop scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure data integrity and consistency
- Provide technical support to end-users on database-related issues

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Basic understanding of SQL databases such as MySQL or Oracle
- Knowledge of database design principles and best practices
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in database administration or related field is a plus
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts is an asset
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS) is desirable

Salary: 1800$ per month

Location: Lisbon, Portugal
