Preservation Architect
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historical buildings and structures in the city of Karachi, Pakistan. Your role will involve conducting research, creating preservation plans, and overseeing the execution of restoration projects. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and government agencies to ensure that preservation projects are completed with the highest standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on historical buildings and structures in Karachi
- Creating preservation plans that adhere to local regulations and guidelines
- Collaborating with clients to understand their needs and expectations
- Overseeing the execution of preservation projects by contractors
- Ensuring that all restoration work is completed according to plans and within budget constraints
- Communicating regularly with government agencies to obtain necessary permits and approvals
- Conducting site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that may arise
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all preservation projects
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Preservation Architect or similar role
- Strong understanding of historical preservation techniques and best practices
- Excellent research skills with attention to detail
- Experience working with government agencies for obtaining necessary permits
- Ability to create detailed preservation plans using CAD software
- Strong project management skills with ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders
Salary: 1400$ per month
