Experienced Carpenter


A reputable construction company in Nakuru is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for crafting, constructing, and repairing structures and fixtures made of wood, plywood, and other materials. We are looking for a skilled individual who has a passion for carpentry and takes pride in their work.

Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and materials needed
- Measure and mark cutting lines on materials according to specifications
- Shape or cut materials using hand or power tools such as saws, chisels, drills, etc.
- Join materials with nails, screws or adhesives
- Install structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trimmings etc.
- Repair damaged furniture or building frameworks using hand tools
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines when using tools or working at heights

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Carpenter with at least 3 years of work experience
- Excellent knowledge of carpentry techniques and methods including framing, finishing etc.
- Proficient in using hand and power tools
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings
- Good physical condition with the ability to stand for long periods of time and lift heavy objects
- Attention to detail with good mathematical skills
- High school diploma; certification in carpentry or relevant field is a plus

Salary: $1300 per month (negotiable based on experience)

This is a full-time position with working hours from Monday to Friday (8am - 5pm) with occasional overtime on weekends if needed. We offer competitive pay and benefits including health insurance. Preference will be given to Indian nationals who are fluent in English.
