We are seeking a qualified and experienced Librarian to join our team in Salalah, Oman. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the library's collection and resources, providing reference and research assistance to patrons, and promoting library services to the community.

As a Librarian, you will be expected to have a strong understanding of library systems and technologies, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills. You must also have a passion for literature and a commitment to promoting literacy.

This is a full-time position with a salary of 1600$. Accommodation will not be provided, but visa sponsorship is available. We welcome applications from all qualified candidates, including Indians and women.

Responsibilities:
- Manage the library's collection of books, periodicals, and other materials
- Catalogue new acquisitions using appropriate systems
- Provide reference services and assist patrons with research inquiries
- Develop and implement programs to promote literacy and reading within the community
- Assist with circulation tasks such as checking books in/out, placing holds, etc.
- Maintain the physical organization of the library space
- Collaborate with other librarians or staff members on projects or initiatives
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to library services

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Proven experience working in a library setting
- Familiarity with library systems such as Dewey Decimal Classification or Library of Congress Classification
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Proficiency in English (additional languages are a plus)
- Knowledge of literature and current reading trends
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies
