English Teacher


We are a leading educational institution in Nakuru, seeking a highly qualified and experienced English Teacher. As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for creating engaging and effective lesson plans, teaching students the fundamentals of the English language, and monitoring their progress. We are specifically looking for an Indian national with fluency in English and experience teaching at the secondary or higher level. This is a full-time position with a salary of 1600$ per month. Accommodation will not be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement creative lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum
- Teach students basic grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing, and speaking skills
- Administer assessments to evaluate students' language proficiency and track their progress
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience at the secondary or higher level
- Strong understanding of language acquisition theories and best practices in teaching English as a second language
- Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

Preferred Qualifications:
- Indian nationality with experience teaching in an international school setting
- Additional certification or training in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) or Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL)
- Experience using technology in the classroom to enhance learning
