Seamstress for Traditional Clothing in Malindi, Kenya


We are seeking a skilled Seamstress to join our team in Malindi, Kenya. As a Seamstress, you will be responsible for creating traditional clothing such as kurtas, saris, and salwar kameez for our clients. Your main duties will include measuring and cutting fabric, sewing and stitching garments, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of each piece. The ideal candidate should have experience working with traditional fabrics and be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Take accurate measurements of clients for custom fittings
- Cut fabric according to pattern specifications
- Sew and stitch garments using traditional techniques
- Ensure the quality and accuracy of each piece before final delivery
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with designers and other team members to meet deadlines

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Seamstress or similar role
- Knowledge of traditional fabrics and sewing techniques
- Ability to use sewing machines and other tools effectively
- Attention to detail and strong hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Time management skills
- Good communication skills
- Fluency in Malayalam preferred

Salary:
1700$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
