Junior Civil Engineer - Contract Position in Faro, Portugal


We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Junior Civil Engineer to join our team on a contract basis in Faro, Portugal. In this role, you will work under the guidance of senior engineers to support various civil engineering projects. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals without prior experience in the field.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with planning and designing of civil engineering projects, including roads, bridges, buildings, and other structures
- Perform site investigations and surveys to gather data for project planning
- Prepare technical reports and drawings using CAD software
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop project plans and budgets
- Conduct quality control checks during construction to ensure compliance with design plans and specifications
- Communicate with contractors and suppliers to coordinate project progress and resolve any issues that may arise
- Stay updated on industry developments and technological advancements related to civil engineering

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (MSc preferred)
- Strong understanding of civil engineering principles, theories, and concepts
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills in English (Portuguese proficiency is a plus)
- Flexible schedule to accommodate project deadlines

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1400$ per month.

Location:
This position is based in Faro, Portugal.

Contract Period:
This is a contract position with an initial duration of 6 months. However, there may be opportunities for extension depending on project needs and performance.
