Crane Operator



As a crane operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various types of cranes at our construction site in Lom, Kenya. Your main duty will be to safely and efficiently lift and move heavy materials and equipment using the crane.

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate different types of cranes including mobile, tower, and overhead cranes according to project needs
- Perform routine maintenance checks on the crane to ensure proper functioning
- Inspect rigging equipment before use and report any defects or damages
- Communicate with ground personnel using hand signals or radio to ensure safe movement of materials
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations while operating the crane
- Keep accurate records of daily activities such as materials lifted, hours worked, etc.
- Report any accidents or incidents immediately to the supervisor
- Assist in loading and unloading materials from trucks using the crane

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a crane operator in a construction setting
- Valid crane operator certification
- Good understanding of different types of cranes and their operation
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination
- Excellent communication skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
