Interpreter/Translator


We are seeking a skilled Interpreter/Translator to join our team in Lahore. This is an urgent job opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced individual who is fluent in both English and the preferred language, with at least 3 years of experience in interpretation and translation.

As an Interpreter/Translator, you will be responsible for accurately translating written and spoken communication from one language to another. You will work closely with clients, colleagues, and other parties to ensure effective communication and understanding. This role requires strong language proficiency, cultural sensitivity, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate interpreting services during meetings, conferences, interviews, and other events.
- Translate written documents such as reports, contracts, and correspondence.
- Ensure that translated materials maintain the tone, style, and context of the original text.
- Conduct thorough research on industry-specific terminology to ensure accurate translations.
- Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues to understand their needs and preferences.
- Maintain confidentiality of all interpreted information.
- Proofread translated documents for accuracy and clarity.
- Collaborate with other interpreters or translators as needed.

Requirements:
- Fluency in both English and the preferred language (e.g. Urdu).
- At least 3 years of experience in interpretation or translation.
- Excellent communication skills with a strong command of grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary.
- A keen understanding of cultural differences and sensitivity when communicating with diverse individuals.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Proficiency in using translation tools (e.g. CAT tools) is preferred but not required.
- Bachelor's degree in Linguistics or related field is preferred but not required.
