Instrument Technician
As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of instruments and equipment used in industrial processes. You will primarily work with electronic and pneumatic control systems, performing diagnostic tests and troubleshooting issues to ensure proper functioning. This role requires a high level of technical knowledge and the ability to read and interpret complex schematics and diagrams.
Responsibilities:
- Install new instruments and equipment according to specifications
- Inspect, test, and calibrate instruments to ensure accuracy
- Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform repairs as needed
- Maintain records of maintenance activities and completed work orders
- Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to solve complex technical problems
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and new technologies
- Comply with all safety regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an Instrument Technician or similar role
- Associate's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering Technology preferred
- Strong understanding of electronic circuits, pneumatic systems, and control loops
- Familiarity with industrial control systems (PLCs, DCS)
- Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, blueprints
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Flexibility to work on-call shifts or overtime when necessary
- Physically fit to climb ladders or work in confined spaces
Salary: $1400 per month
