Foundry Technician


As a Foundry Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining foundry equipment to produce high quality metal castings. Your role will involve setting up, operating and troubleshooting equipment, monitoring the casting process, performing quality checks on finished products, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience working in a foundry or similar manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of foundry processes and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects in castings
- Good physical stamina to handle heavy materials and operate machinery
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure

Responsibilities:
- Prepare molds for casting by cleaning, coating with refractory materials, and setting up gating systems
- Operate furnaces, ladles, and other foundry equipment according to standard procedures
- Monitor the casting process for any abnormalities or defects
- Perform quality checks on finished castings using various measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and make necessary adjustments or repairs as needed
- Maintain a clean work area by removing excess sand, debris, and other waste materials
- Follow all safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues

Salary:
The salary for this position is $1300 per month.
