Head Chef - Indian Cuisine

As a Head Chef specializing in Indian cuisine, you will oversee the kitchen operations and menu development for our restaurant in Kaunas. Your main responsibility will be to ensure that all dishes are prepared and cooked according to traditional Indian recipes and standards. You will also be responsible for managing, training, and supervising the kitchen staff to maintain a high level of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and update menus featuring authentic Indian dishes
- Oversee food preparation and cooking activities
- Train, supervise, and evaluate kitchen staff
- Monitor food inventory levels and order supplies when needed
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining high quality standards
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation according to health codes
- Handle customer complaints or special requests related to food quality or dietary restrictions
- Collaborate with other departments to plan special events or promotions featuring Indian cuisine
- Keep up-to-date with current food trends and incorporate them into menu development

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience working as an Executive Chef or similar role in a restaurant specializing in Indian cuisine
- Excellent knowledge of traditional Indian recipes, spices, and cooking techniques
- Ability to create new dishes while maintaining authenticity of flavors
- Strong leadership skills with experience in managing a team of kitchen staff
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Food safety certification is preferred

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1600$ per month for this full-time position.

This position is located in Kaunas, Lithuania.

Education:
A degree or diploma in Culinary Arts or related field is preferred but not required.

Language:
