Head Chef



As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations of our restaurant located in Bungoma. We are seeking a talented and experienced individual who is passionate about creating delicious and visually appealing dishes. This is an excellent opportunity for an Indian or Pakistani chef with a strong command of English to showcase their skills and lead a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:
- Create and update menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and meet customer preferences
- Train, supervise, and manage kitchen staff, including cooks and food prep workers
- Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and taste are maintained at all times
- Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to sanitation standards set by local health authorities
- Collaborate with the management team to develop strategies for increasing restaurant revenue
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and incorporate new techniques into menu items

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar role in a high-volume restaurant setting
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards success
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- In-depth knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively while working in a fast-paced environment
- Creativity in developing new menu items while balancing costs and customer preferences
- Knowledge of health codes and regulations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Salary: $900 per month
Location: Bungoma
Nationality preference: Indian or Pakistani
Language requirement: Fluent in English
