Junior Database Administrator


We are currently seeking a Junior Database Administrator to join our growing team in Utena, Lithuania. This is an entry-level position for a recent graduate or individual with minimal experience in the field.

As a Junior Database Administrator, you will be responsible for assisting with the maintenance, optimization, and security of our company's databases. You will work closely with our senior DBA to ensure the smooth operation of our database systems and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and upgrade of database software
- Monitor database performance and make recommendations for improvements
- Ensure data integrity and security through regular backups and updates
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues as they arise
- Create and maintain documentation for database procedures and processes
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration between databases and applications

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Basic understanding of SQL and database management systems (DBMS)
- Knowledge of database design principles and data manipulation languages (DML)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing environments

Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems
- Certification in Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server administration is a plus

Salary: 1100$ per month
