Instrument Technician
We are searching for a skilled and experienced Instrument Technician to join our team in Alta, Norway. As an Instrument Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various instruments and equipment used in industrial settings. This is a contract position with a salary of 1600$ per month, without accommodation provided. We are looking for candidates who already have their own visa to work in Norway, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship at this time.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various instruments such as sensors, transmitters, control valves, and analyzers.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instrumentation systems.
- Calibrate instruments to ensure accurate readings.
- Install new instrumentation equipment as needed.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and report any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years experience working as an Instrument Technician.
- Diploma or degree in Instrumentation Technology or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of different types of instruments used in industrial settings.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Experience with troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience working in the oil and gas industry is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Norwegian language is an asset.
