Preservation Architect
Location: Randers, Denmark
As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and protecting historical buildings and structures. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and other professionals to plan and execute preservation projects. This position requires a deep understanding of architectural history, as well as strong technical skills in conservation and restoration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historical structures to identify areas in need of preservation
- Develop plans for preservation projects that adhere to local regulations and guidelines
- Collaborate with clients to establish project goals, timelines, and budgets
- Oversee construction work to ensure adherence to preservation plans
- Conduct research on historical building materials and techniques
- Provide expertise on conservation and restoration methods
- Monitor the condition of preserved buildings over time
- Develop maintenance plans for long-term preservation of historical structures
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Proven experience in the preservation of historical buildings and structures
- Strong knowledge of architectural history and styles
- Familiarity with relevant preservation guidelines and regulations
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, or other design software
- Excellent project management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
Compensation:
