Junior Preservation Architect

As a Junior Preservation Architect, you will work under the guidance of senior architects to preserve and protect historic buildings and structures in the city of Randers. You will assist in conducting site surveys, researching materials and techniques, and creating preservation plans for each project. Your role will also involve collaborating with engineers, contractors, and government officials to ensure that all preservation work is carried out according to local laws and regulations.

Your responsibilities will include conducting detailed assessments of historic buildings, documenting their existing conditions, and identifying any potential risks or areas in need of urgent attention. You will also be responsible for proposing solutions to preserve and restore these structures while maintaining their historical integrity. This may involve coordinating with contractors to carry out repairs or renovations using traditional methods and materials.

In addition, you will be involved in preparing detailed reports on preservation projects for government agencies, as well as communicating with local communities to promote awareness and appreciation for historic architecture. Your role may also involve assisting with fundraising efforts for preservation projects.

The ideal candidate for this position should have a degree in Architecture or a related field, with a strong understanding of architectural history and preservation techniques. Previous experience working on historic preservation projects is preferred but not required. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential qualities for this role.
