Preservation Architect
We are seeking a skilled Preservation Architect to join our team in Vilnius. In this role, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures, ensuring their longevity and cultural value. As a Preservation Architect, you will collaborate with engineers, contractors, and local authorities to develop preservation plans that adhere to regulatory guidelines and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive research on the history and construction of historic buildings
- Inspect and assess the condition of buildings to determine preservation needs
- Develop preservation plans that prioritize structural stability and historical significance
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and local authorities to ensure preservation plans are feasible and comply with regulations
- Utilize traditional building techniques and materials in restoration projects
- Monitor restoration work progress to ensure quality standards are met
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively
- Document all preservation work for future reference
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or a related field
- Proven experience in preservation architecture or a similar role
- In-depth knowledge of traditional building techniques and materials used in historic structures
- Familiarity with architectural history and styles from different time periods
- Strong research skills to gather information on the history of buildings
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to deadlines
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Salary: 1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
Location: Vilnius (accommodation provided if needed)
