Handyman - Maintenance and Repair Specialist



The Handyman - Maintenance and Repair Specialist will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to building maintenance and repair in the city of Svalbard. This position requires a highly adaptable individual who is able to work independently and efficiently, with or without prior experience. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle a wide range of tasks, from basic repairs to more complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting regular inspections and repairs of buildings, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other general maintenance tasks
- Identifying potential issues and implementing solutions in a timely manner
- Communicating with building managers and tenants to address any concerns or requests for repairs
- Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance activities performed
- Ensuring all work is completed within safety guidelines and regulations

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- Previous experience in building maintenance or repair is an asset but not required
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other general repair tasks
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with tenants and building managers

Salary:
This position offers a competitive salary of 1800$ per month.

Accommodation:
Accommodation will not be provided for this role. Candidates must be able to secure their own housing in Svalbard.
