A dynamic and growing company in Lahore is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of our company's databases. Your role will involve working closely with management and IT teams to ensure efficient and effective database operations.

Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain database software
- Develop backup and recovery strategies to ensure data protection
- Monitor database performance and make necessary improvements
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide solutions
- Create and manage database users, permissions, and roles
- Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure proper integration of databases with applications
- Implement security measures to safeguard against unauthorized access or data breaches
- Conduct regular audits to identify potential issues or areas for improvement

Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (e.g. MySQL, Oracle)
- Experience with database design, optimization, and performance tuning
- Familiarity with backup and recovery processes
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Experience with cloud-based databases (e.g. AWS RDS)
- Knowledge of database security best practices

Salary:
We offer a competitive salary of 1300$ per month for this position.

Location:
This position is based in Lahore, but we welcome candidates from all over Pakistan.
