Dietitian for English-Speaking Community in Nairobi, Kenya
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Dietitian to work with our English-speaking community in Nairobi, Kenya. As a Dietitian, you will be responsible for providing nutrition counseling and education to individuals and groups to promote healthy eating habits and prevent or manage diet-related health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct nutrition assessments of clients, including analyzing their medical history, dietary habits, and lifestyle.
- Develop personalized meal plans based on clients' health goals and nutritional needs.
- Provide nutrition counseling and education to clients on how to make healthy food choices and manage diet-related health conditions.
- Monitor clients' progress and make necessary adjustments to their meal plans.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to provide comprehensive care for clients.
- Stay updated on the latest research and developments in the field of nutrition to ensure evidence-based practice.
- Conduct workshops and seminars for the English-speaking community in Nairobi on topics related to nutrition.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Dietitian.
- Registered with the Kenya Nutritionists & Dietitians Institute (KNDI).
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
- Knowledge of Egyptian cuisine is preferred but not required.
- Experience working with biometric passport holders is a plus.
