Librarian Assistant


We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Librarian Assistant to join our library team in Nairobi. As a Librarian Assistant, you will help manage the daily operations of our library and provide support to the Librarian.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with cataloging, shelving, and organizing library materials
- Help patrons locate and check out materials
- Process returned materials and ensure they are in proper condition
- Answer patron's inquiries and provide basic reference assistance
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the library
- Assist with library events and programs
- Collaborate with the Librarian on collection development and maintenance

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
- Experience working in a library or customer service role is a plus
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of library software systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Salary: 1100$ per month

Location: Nairobi, Kenya (foreigners welcome)
