Database Administrator


We are currently hiring a Database Administrator for our company in Ashdod. As a DBA, you will be responsible for maintaining and managing our company's databases, ensuring their security, availability, and performance. You will work closely with our development and IT teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot database systems.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries for faster execution
- Develop data models and database design to support business needs
- Ensure data security by implementing access controls and backups
- Troubleshoot issues with databases, applications, and data integrations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements for new projects
- Perform database upgrades and updates as needed
- Create documentation of database processes and procedures

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator
- Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, or Oracle databases
- Strong knowledge of database architecture and data modeling
- Experience with performance tuning and query optimization techniques
- Familiarity with ETL processes and data integration tools
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Preferred skills:
- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure)
- Knowledge of programming languages (Java, Python) for scripting tasks
- Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation

Salary: $1200 per month

Location: Ashdod, Israel
