Database Administrator (DBA) - Ashdod, Israel

We are hiring a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Ashdod, Israel. As a DBA, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining our company's database systems. You will work closely with our development and IT teams to ensure the security, availability and performance of our databases.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement database structures based on business requirements
- Monitor and optimize database performance
- Troubleshoot issues and provide solutions for database related problems
- Ensure data integrity and security through regular backups and disaster recovery plans
- Develop and maintain database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions
- Collaborate with development team to integrate new applications with existing databases
- Provide technical support to end-users for database related inquiries

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of database management systems (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
- Experience with database design, performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery and migration tools
- Ability to troubleshoot complex database issues in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills in English

Preferred qualifications:
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g. Oracle Certified Professional)
- Experience working with cloud-based databases (AWS, Azure)
