Database Administrator for Indian Applicants in Atlanta

We are hiring a Database Administrator to join our growing team in Atlanta. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our company's databases, ensuring data security and availability, and implementing data backup and recovery strategies. This is a full-time position suitable for Indian applicants with a salary of $1000 per month.

Responsibilities:
- Monitor database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise
- Install and configure database software and ensure its compatibility with other systems
- Implement data backup and recovery strategies to ensure data security and availability
- Manage user access permissions to maintain data integrity
- Develop and test database updates or modifications to improve efficiency or resolve issues
- Collaborate with other teams to design and implement new databases or modify existing ones
- Create documentation for database structure, procedures, and guidelines
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, developments, and best practices related to database management

Requirements:
- Proven work experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role
- Strong understanding of database structure, theories, principles, and practices
- Good knowledge of SQL language (MySQL, Oracle) and programming languages (Java, Python)
- Familiarity with data backup, recovery, security procedures, and tools
- Ability to troubleshoot database issues quickly and efficiently
- Excellent analytical thinking skills with attention to detail
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant field
- Certification in Database Administration (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional) is a plus
- Fluency in English is preferred but not required
