We are hiring a highly motivated and organized Librarian to join our team in Bungoma. As a Librarian, you will be responsible for managing the library collection, assisting patrons with research and information needs, and promoting literacy and learning within the community. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for books, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the library collection by organizing materials, cataloging new items, and weeding out outdated or damaged materials
- Assist patrons with research inquiries by providing guidance on how to use library resources effectively
- Promote literacy and learning within the community by developing programs and activities for all age groups
- Oversee daily operations of the library including circulation of materials, shelving, and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for patrons
- Keep up-to-date with current trends in library services and implement new technologies as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a library setting
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of local languages is a plus)
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
- Proficient in computer skills such as Microsoft Office
