Freelance Translator



We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Freelance Translator to join our team in Clairvaux. In this role, you will be responsible for translating a variety of documents and texts from different languages into English. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of both the source and target languages, as well as excellent writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities:
- Translate a wide range of documents and texts including legal, technical, medical, and marketing materials
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in translation while maintaining the tone and style of the original text
- Communicate with clients to understand their specific translation needs
- Research unfamiliar terms or concepts to ensure accurate translation
- Edit and proofread translations for grammatical errors and typos
- Meet tight deadlines while maintaining high quality standards

Requirements:
- Native or near-native proficiency in English
- Fluency in at least one other language
- Proven experience as a translator or in a similar role
- Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics or related field (preferred)
- Strong knowledge of CAT tools (Computer Assisted Translation)
- Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail

This is a freelance position with flexible working hours. The salary for this role is $1300 per month. Accommodation can also be provided for non-local candidates if needed.
