Senior Librarian

A reputable library in Ar-Ruwais is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Senior Librarian to join our team. As the Senior Librarian, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the daily operations of the library, including cataloguing, collection development, and user services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in library science and a passion for promoting literacy and education in the community.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of library operations, including collection development, cataloguing, and user services
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective management of the library
- Train and supervise library staff to maintain high-quality standards in all areas of library services
- Maintain accurate records of library materials, circulation statistics, and budget expenditures
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization to promote library resources and services
- Stay current with new technologies relevant to library operations

Requirements:
- Master's degree in Library Science or Information Science from an accredited institution
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a supervisory role at a public or academic library
- Extensive knowledge of cataloguing systems, collection development principles, and information retrieval methods
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team towards achieving common goals
- Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse groups of individuals from different backgrounds
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and implement them effectively into daily operations

Salary: $1100 per month (tax-free)
Working Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
Nationality: Indian (preferred)
Language Requirements: Fluent in English (required)
