Milling Machine Operator

We are a manufacturing company located in Mombasa, seeking a skilled Milling Machine Operator to join our team. As a Milling Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating milling machines to produce precision parts for various products. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our production process.

Responsibilities:
- Set up milling machines by installing and adjusting cutting tools, selecting the appropriate materials, and making necessary adjustments to ensure precision
- Operate milling machines to produce parts according to specifications
- Monitor machine operations and make adjustments as needed to maintain quality and efficiency
- Inspect finished products for accuracy and make any necessary adjustments
- Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and wearing appropriate protective gear
- Troubleshoot issues with machinery and make repairs as needed
- Keep track of inventory levels and report any shortages or defects to management
- Follow all company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards for milling machine operation

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating milling machines in a manufacturing setting
- Strong technical skills with the ability to read blueprints, use measuring tools, and make precise calculations
- Knowledge of different types of materials used in milling operations
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Physical ability to stand for long periods of time, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks
- Knowledge of safety protocols and willingness to follow them at all times
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English
