Preservation Architect


As a Preservation Architect, you will be responsible for preserving and restoring historic buildings and structures. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and government agencies to ensure that these structures are restored in a way that maintains their historical integrity while also meeting modern safety and accessibility standards.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments of historic buildings and structures to determine necessary preservation and restoration work
- Develop preservation plans and proposals that adhere to local, state, and federal regulations
- Work with clients to understand their goals for the project and provide recommendations based on historical significance, budget, and feasibility
- Collaborate with contractors to oversee the restoration process, ensuring that all work is done according to plan
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from government agencies
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address any issues that arise
- Manage project budgets and timelines
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, contractors, and government agencies throughout the project

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Historic Preservation
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in preservation architecture or a related field
- Strong knowledge of historic building materials, construction techniques, and preservation methods
- Experience working with government agencies on historic preservation projects
- Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of local language is a plus)
- Ability to travel for site visits as needed (valid biometric passport required)
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Salary:
1600$ per month (negotiable based on experience)
