We are a language services company looking for a skilled and experienced Interpreter to join our team in Funchal, Portugal. Our ideal candidate should have excellent language skills and be able to interpret accurately and efficiently between English and Portuguese. The successful candidate will work with clients from various industries, providing interpreting services for meetings, conferences, and other events.

Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate interpretation services between English and Portuguese for clients in various industries
- Act as a liaison between parties who do not share a common language
- Prepare for assignments by researching relevant terminology and familiarizing oneself with the subject matter
- Maintain confidentiality and impartiality at all times
- Manage time effectively to ensure prompt arrival to assignments
- Facilitate communication by actively listening and asking clarifying questions when necessary
- Take notes during assignments if required by the client
- Adhere to industry standards of ethics and professionalism

Requirements:
- Native or near-native fluency in English and Portuguese
- Proven experience as an interpreter, preferably in a business setting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent memory retention skills
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player
- Flexibility to work on short notice or during non-traditional business hours if needed
- Confidence working with different cultures and adapting to different communication styles
- Organizational skills to manage multiple assignments at once

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1800$ per month.

This position is located in Funchal, Portugal.
